D2.5mm nozzles are made of stainless steel, hardened to support abrasive filaments and high temperatures.

They are D2.5mm outer diameter to reduce the thermal barrier due to lower thermal conduction of the metal used. Heat blocks must have a D2.5mm groove

Light increase of standard temperature can be needed to keep up with flow rate.

Some specifically abrasive filaments will significantly wear over time hardened nozzle.

D3.0mm nozzles are made of brass and copper. Very conductive materials, also weaker in abrasion matters without coating. Great for PLA, PetG and similar filaments.

With D3.0mm outer diameter nozzles, heat blocks also need to correspond, with D3mm groove.
