The 2.5mm nozzles are made of stainless steel, hardened to withstand abrasive filaments and high temperatures.

They have an external diameter of 2.5mm to reduce the thermal barrier due to the low thermal conductivity of the metal used.

Heat blocks should match nozzle diameter D2.5mm.

A slight increase in standard temperature may be required to maintain flow.

Some specifically abrasive filaments will wear down the hardened nozzle over time.

Brass and copper nozzles have an external diameter of 3.0mm.
